LIGHT Learning Packages
LIGHT aims to strengthen the capacity of individuals, institutions and multiple stakeholders in LIGHT countries to generate, adapt, translate and utilise evidence, as well as to effectively manage research. Aside from trainings, LIGHT is committed to developing useful resources and learning packages to support short- and long-term learning for all. This page presents some of these open-access learning packs, freely available for anyone to access and download.
LIGHT Research Uptake Toolkit
The LIGHT Toolkit for Research Uptake is a practical, “how-to” guide for turning research into real-world change. It is designed for researchers, research uptake/knowledge exchange professionals, decision-makers, programme managers, and funders, and anyone seeking to move their research beyond academic outputs into real-world application - ensuring that evidence is used to inform policy and practice for maximum impact. It is best used at grant-writing and project inception phase, so uptake is built in (and properly resourced) rather than added as a bot on at the end.
LIGHT Health Economics Resource Pack
The LIGHT Health Economics Resource Pack provides a structured approach to understanding health economics fundamentals. It includes comprehensive modules on key topics such as economic evaluation, cost-effectiveness analysis and budgeting - all aimed at enhancing healthcare decision-making and policy development. The pack is tailored for users in low-resource settings, providing practical tools and guidance to apply economic principles within healthcare programmes and research contexts. Suitable for both beginners and those seeking to enhance their skills, this resource supports users to integrate economic insights into impactful, evidence-based healthcare solutions.
