External Consortium Advisory Group (ECAG)
The External Consortium Advisory Group (ECAG) of the LIGHT Consortium has been established to provide technical oversight and advice to the consortium and to help ensure that the research generated by the programme will have the fullest possible impact upon decision-making to achieve positive development outcomes.
The ECAG provides effective governance and oversight for the Research Policy Committee (RPC). The group provides strategic advice to the LIGHT Management Team in terms of direction and implementation of LIGHT to meet its objectives and address the priority knowledge needs of policy makers working to improve global and local public health.
The ECAG also plays a role in:

peer-reviewing and validating research proposals, reaserch uptake strategy and monitoring and evaluation plans;

advising on uptake channels and opportunities for packaging and promoting research outputs; advising on effective partnerships;

quality assurance of content, particularly of research outputs, briefing and communications content, as well as any challenging strategic issues when needed;

reviewing and endorsing LIGHT’s annual reports to funders (FCDO).
Membership
The ECAG comprises eight international experts in the fields of TB and inter-disciplinary research, appointed for a period of up to six years.
